Welcome to Kynoch Chess Club

Kynoch Chess Club has been running for over 60 years and its earliest success in the BDCL came with an individual trophy for D J Youston in 1949. Kynoch won the league in 1964 and also in 1968. Kynoch went through a successful spell in the eighties when they won the League from 1981 to 1985, this has only been repeated once by South Birmingham A from 2006 to 2010. The honours won are as follows:

Division 1 Champions 1963/64, 1967/68, 1980/81, 1981/82, 1982/83, 1983/84, 1984/85, 1995/96 and 1997/98. South Birmingham have equaled our 5 in a row but not bettered it.

Division 2 Champions 1983/84 and 1989/90.

Division 3 Champions 1968/69 and 1999/2000.

Division 6 Champions 1993/94, 2006/07 and 2010/11.

Division 7 Champions 1965/66.

Kynoch are hoping to return to the top flight after suffering relegation recently.
